Neutral Required vs No-Neutral Versions
This is an important consideration when selecting your switch.
Wi-Fi Neutral Required
The current Wi-Fi range is available in:
1 Gang | 2 Gang | 3 Gang | 4 Gang
These models require a neutral wire at the switch location.
No capacitor is required.
They provide the full range of Wi-Fi features, including:

- Backlight brightness
- Backlight enable/disable

- Child lock
Wi-Fi No-Neutral
A no-neutral Wi-Fi version is not currently available in this range.
If you have an installation where there is no neutral wire available at the wall switch, consider the compatible SmartPad Zigbee No-Neutral models instead.
Important: Do not purchase the Wi-Fi version for a no-neutral installation. Confirm your existing wiring before ordering.
Optional ESPHome Firmware
For customers who prefer local smart-home control, selected SmartPad switches can be supplied with ESPHome firmware.
The ESPHome option is particularly suited to:

The SmartPad Wi-Fi Tactile Switch requires a neutral connection and does not support no-neutral installations.
If you do not have a neutral wire at the switch, contact us before ordering so we can recommend a suitable no-neutral Zigbee alternative.
Electrical installation should be performed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with applicable local regulations.
